Hi, I'm Tae, and welcome to Tea With Tae (aka TWT)! I love tea and am passionate about delicious-tasting tea. Tea is good for your health, good for your mind, and good for your soul. But beyond the great taste and obvious health benefits, tea is special because it brings people together and makes people happy. It's no wonder that tea is the second most popular drink in the world after water!
Tea has deep historical and cultural roots across Asia and beyond. It was first cultivated and developed into a daily beverage in China, later shaped by traditions such as Japanese tea ceremony, and further expanded through India’s major role in tea cultivation and tea culture. Over time, tea became part of social rituals around the world, from intimate family gatherings to 19th century British afternoon tea. At its best, tea creates space for conversation, hospitality, business meetings, and time with friends and family.
In recent times, however, many tea shops have closed, and tea has lost some of that social charm. In April 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, I felt that loss personally. I could no longer share tea with my mom or sit down with friends, and I deeply missed those moments of connection. I wanted to find a way to bring that experience back, something that could still create that feeling, even from a distance. That’s how Tea with Tae was born.
Tea brings people together and makes people happy—especially when someone is receiving tea as a gift. Our focus at TWT is not only to produce delicious and accessible tea blends but also to present our tea in beautiful packaging that can be given as a gift to your friends, family, and loved ones. That's why we created the Tea Bento Box. When words fall short or when you can't see someone in person, a gift can fill that void, and we want to help fill that void at TWT. Beyond gifts, our Tea Bento Box can be a centerpiece for a family event or a tea party with friends. Because the Tea Bento Box allows you to pick up to six different tea blends, each person will surely find a tea they enjoy!
Regarding our tea and packaging, all of our teas are premium, high-quality teas sourced from some of the world's most exquisite and finest tea farms. Plus, they are served up in tea pyramid sachets, where our tea sachets are adapted to the tea, rather than adapting the tea to the teabag by jamming in flat-tasting tiny leaves into small teabags. By serving our tea in our plus-size eco-friendly tea sachets (our tea bags are biodegradable & free of petroleum-based microplastics), we are preserving the sophisticated flavor profiles and aromas of each tea while maintaining the convenience of a tea bag. It's the best of both worlds, especially for those who are constantly on the move every day.
